We leveraged Oppenheimer’s Oscar buzz to remind Hollywood of the nuclear threat.

Everyone was talking about Oppenheimer, the critically acclaimed film that tells the origin story of the nuclear bomb and earned 13 Oscar nominations. Nobody was talking about the world’s 13,000 nuclear weapons and J. Robert Oppenheimer’s warnings against an arms race and the development of even more powerful weapons. We changed the conversation.

With a bold campaign blanketing LA for Oscar weekend, an open letter signed by Hollywood luminaries on the nuclear threat, and a digital campaign that reached millions online, we broke through the narrative with this message: Oppenheimer started the nuclear weapons era, but we can end it.

Together, we can make nukes history.
